Kevin Hunsanger

Kevin was an owner/operator of San Francisco’s beloved Green Apple Books, Publisher’s Weekly Bookstore of the Year (2014), from 1991 to 2019, where he was the resident rare book expert. Kevin is currently serving on the advisory council of the Litquake Foundation, and is on the selection committee of the San Francisco Public Library’s “One City, One Book” program. Kevin was an on-air personality on the KFOG Morning Show from 2000 to 2015.
In 2019, Kevin left Green Apple to create a nonprofit institute, the San Francisco Cultural History Museum, as well as to serve as an elected officer for the San Francisco Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Kevin has chaired dozens of fundraisers and volunteer outreach programs for BPO Elks, and has been named the SF Elks Officer of the Year 2020–2021.
